Elvet bridge is a Grade I listed building spanning the River Wear in Durham city centre. The original bridge was constructed in 12th century although the bridge has been repaired and modified since then. In the Middle Ages Elvet Bridge was guarded by a gate and towers, and there were a number of buildings on the bridge, ncludeding a chapel at either end.
In so many ways the human race has lost its connection with nature. I developed a love of nature in my teens, which has never left me, and it's my wish that, in some small way, my images will help you reconnect with the beautiful world we live in and share. My close up images show you the intricate beauty of nature which, I hope, will encourage you to stop, really look and appreciate the beauty and magnificent complexity of all creation.
