Helvellyn is the third highest mountain in England and is in the North of the Lake Disctrict. There are many streams that flow down the mountainside, some into the reservoir and Thirlmere and others into Ullswater. Helvellyn Gill, shown here, starts as two small springs on the Western side of the mountain and eventually flows into what is now the reservoir at Thirlmere. In Autumn the woodlands on the lower part of the mountain are ablaze with colour.
In so many ways the human race has lost its connection with nature. I developed a love of nature in my teens, which has never left me, and it's my wish that, in some small way, my images will help you reconnect with the beautiful world we live in and share.
