A view across Kielder Water in Northumberland as the storm clouds start to clear. The footpath sign points to the Lakeside Way footpath that covers the 27 miles of the lake shore. Kielder Water is the largest artificial lake in the UK and is surrounded by Kielder Forest, the largest man made forest in Europe.

In so many ways the human race has lost its connection with nature. I developed a love of nature in my teens, which has never left me, and it's my wish that, in some small way, my images will help you reconnect with the beautiful world we live in and share. My close up images show you the intricate beauty of nature which, I hope, will encourage you to stop, really look and appreciate the beauty and magnificent complexity of all creation. I'm never happier than when I'm sitting beneath a tree deep in a wood. I hope you find and deepen your connection too.
