Correctly titled The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is a tidal island off the northeast coast of England which can only be reached across a causeway at low tide. It is famous for its religious connection to Saint Aidan who founded a monastery on Lindisfarne in around 634 AD. The castle was built on Holy Island in the 16th Century and is now owned by the National Trust.
In so many ways the human race has lost its connection with nature. I developed a love of nature in my teens, which has never left me, and it's my wish that, in some small way, my images will help you reconnect with the beautiful world we live in and share. My close up images show you the intricate beauty of nature which, I hope, will encourage you to stop, really look and appreciate the beauty and magnificent complexity of all creation. I'm never happier than when I'm sitting beneath a tree deep in a wood. I hope you find and deepen your connection too.
