The Robin is a common garden bird in the UK, although usually seen as a single bird as the hold their territory all year, which is one of the reasons they are often the only bird still singing in the garden. It has frequently been voted Britain's national bird. Superstition has it that a robin in the garden is a deceased loved one paying a visit.
