Dry stone walls are feature of the Yorkshire Dales countryside, many hundreds of years old and only held together by expertly arranged stone. These wall snake for miles across the Yorkshire Dales countryside. The older walls are made from stones cleared from fields as they were prepared for agriculture.

In so many ways the human race has lost its connection with nature. I developed a love of nature in my teens, which has never left me, and it's my wish that, in some small way, my images will help you reconnect with the beautiful world we live in and share. My close up images show you the intricate beauty of nature which, I hope, will encourage you to stop, really look and appreciate the beauty and magnificent complexity of all creation. I'm never happier than when I'm sitting beneath a tree deep in a wood. I hope you find and deepen your connection too.
