Danby Dale is one of a number of Dales in the North York Moors National Park. Just South of the towns of Castleton and Danby itself the small moor consists mainly of farm and heathland, predominantly given over to sheep grazing.

In so many ways the human race has lost its connection with nature. I developed a love of nature in my teens, which has never left me, and it's my wish that, in some small way, my images will help you reconnect with the beautiful world we live in and share. My close up images show you the intricate beauty of nature which, I hope, will encourage you to stop, really look and appreciate the beauty and magnificent complexity of all creation. I'm never happier than when I'm sitting beneath a tree deep in a wood. I hope you find and deepen your connection too.
