Description
Blencathra, also known as Saddleback, is one of the most northerly mountains in the English Lake District. The name of saddleback comes from its shape and the fact that it has six separate fell tops. This image, taken in February, shows snow lingering on the hilltops, despite the return of some sunshine. Blencathra was actually put up for sale in the recent past, something that, to the delight of locals, never happened.
