Autumn Woodland #1 Canvas Print

Evening sun shining through the forest trees in a Durham Woodland close to Durham City centre. The wood is awash with bluebells in Spring, but in Autumn the fall colours turn it into a very different place. Taken just before sunset, the backlit leaves light up an otherwise dark wood.

In so many ways the human race has lost its connection with nature. I developed a love of nature in my teens, which has never left me, and it's my wish that, in some small way, my images will help you reconnect with the beautiful world we live in and share. My close up images show you the intricate beauty of nature which, I hope, will encourage you to stop, really look and appreciate the beauty and magnificent complexity of all creation. I'm never happier than when I'm sitting beneath a tree deep in a wood. I hope you find and deepen your connection too.
