The late Autumn of 2013 provides more time to enjoy the golden hues of the season in Southwick Wood nature reserve in Northamptonshire. This image was taken at the end of November when some trees were still covered in leaves.

In so many ways the human race has lost its connection with nature. I developed a love of nature in my teens, which has never left me, and it's my wish that, in some small way, my images will help you reconnect with the beautiful world we live in and share. My close up images show you the intricate beauty of nature which, I hope, will encourage you to stop, really look and appreciate the beauty and magnificent complexity of all creation. I'm never happier than when I'm sitting beneath a tree deep in a wood. I hope you find and deepen your connection too.
