Artist's Description

The Red Kite was re-introduced as a bird of prey to Northamptonshire in the late 20th century. Although a bird of prey, the Red Kite feeds mainly on carion - and scraps which a growing number of people leave out for them. On a Summers day lone Red Kites can be seen soaring high in thermals.
