Description
The Anvil is one of many naturally occurring rocks that have acquired names. The shapes at Brimham Rocks are the result of erosion of the millstone grit caused by ice and water over millions of years. The rock formations are spread over many acres on Brimham Moor in Nidderdale, Yorkshire.
