Formerly one of the many fishing centres in England, Staithes is now largely a tourist destination within the North York Moors National Park. Close to the equally popular town of Whitby and the village of Runswick Bay, It's perhaps the steep descent into the village and equally steep climb back up that visitors most remember!
In so many ways the human race has lost its connection with nature. I developed a love of nature in my teens, which has never left me, and it's my wish that, in some small way, my images will help you reconnect with the beautiful world we live in and share. My close up images show you the intricate beauty of nature which, I hope, will encourage you to stop, really look and appreciate the beauty and magnificent complexity of all creation. I'm never happier than when I'm sitting beneath a tree deep in a wood. I hope you find and deepen your connection too.
