A common garden flower, the Pansy was originally cultivated by Lady Mary Elizabeth Bennet in the early 19th century by cross breeding varieties of wild viola tricolor (heartsease) and others. By 1833 there were 400 named varieties of pansy.
In so many ways the human race has lost its connection with nature. I developed a love of nature in my teens, which has never left me, and it's my wish that, in some small way, my images will help you reconnect with the beautiful world we live in and share.
