Description
Bark house nestles amongst the bracken at the side of Ashness Bridge near Derwentwater in the Lake District National Park. It was originally built to store oak bark from nearby woodland before being sent to a tannery in Keswick, hence its name More recently it was used as a scout bunk house and bothy.
