Description
Cotton Grass (Eriophorum angustifolium) appears on the north York Moors in early Summer, making them look as if someone had scattered cotton wool balls over the moorland landscape. Despite its name, Common Cotton-grass is a member of the sedge family rather than being a grass. This view looking towards Danby across the Moors was taken in July.
