Longstone Lighthouse on the Farne Islands in Northumberland was made famous by the Victorian heroine Grace Darling,who helped her father lighthouse keeper,rescue survivors from a shipwreck in 1838 by rowing boat. The lighthouse still operates off the Northumberland Coast near Seahouses
