The stone barns that can be seen in the Yorkshire Dales are said to be one of the most distinctive agricultural landscapes in Western Europe. These stone barns, set in the hay meadows of Muker are usually what are more accurately called Cowhouses as they were used to store hay from the meadows and cattle in Winter across the Dales.
In so many ways the human race has lost its connection with nature. I developed a love of nature in my teens, which has never left me, and it's my wish that, in some small way, my images will help you reconnect with the beautiful world we live in and share. My close up images show you the intricate beauty of nature which, I hope, will encourage you to stop, really look and appreciate the beauty and magnificent complexity of all creation.
